Company Secretary

Under the provisions of the Corporations Act 2001, public companies must appoint one or more company secretaries of which at least one must be an Australian resident secretary.  Proprietary companies may appoint one or more company secretaries, of which at least one must be an Australian resident.  If a proprietary company does not appoint a company secretary, then the directors assume the CA responsibilities of a company secretary.

Company secretaries must be 18 years or older.
